Aaron Bachik is a seasoned investment banking and M&A professional with over 26 years of experience, the vast majority of which has been spent exclusively advising companies in the building materials and building services industries. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses. He attended Jesuit High School in Portland, Oregon before his studies at Wharton (1990-1994).

Bachik began his career in the investment banking and M&A departments of J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. in New York City and Hanifen, Imhoff Inc. in Denver, Colorado. He then joined FMI Corp. (a management consulting and M&A services firm serving the construction industry) before moving to Green Manning & Bunch, where he spent 13 years as a Managing Director and founded and led the firm's building materials and services group.

In 2014, Bachik co-founded SLATE Partners LLC alongside Jason Munoz. Based in Denver, SLATE Partners was a boutique investment bank exclusively focused on providing sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory services to building materials and building services companies, serving family-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and private equity portfolio companies nationwide. In October 2022, FMI Corporation acquired SLATE Partners, and Bachik joined FMI Capital Advisors as a Managing Director, where he continues to focus on the building products and building services sectors.
