Aaron Brindle

Aaron Brindle is a Partner at Radical Ventures, a Toronto-based venture capital firm singularly focused on artificial intelligence. At Radical, he oversees public affairs, managing strategic communications and policy initiatives. He also assists portfolio companies with external communications, stakeholder engagement, investor relations, and regulatory navigation. Aaron joined Radical Ventures in January 2020 after a nearly decade-long tenure at Google, where he served as Head of Public Affairs for Google Canada and managed communications for Google AI, working closely with AI pioneer Geoffrey Hinton to amplify his team's groundbreaking research.

Before Google, Aaron straddled the worlds of technology and journalism. He served as Director of Marketing at Incognito Software before joining the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) as a founding producer of The Current, Canada's national current affairs program, where he held several titles including Documentary Producer and Assignment Editor. His documentary work earned a number of national and international distinctions, including the 2011 Amnesty International Media Award.

Aaron is an alumnus of Ridley College (Class of 1994) and holds a BA (Hons) in History from McGill University. He sits on the board of the Canadian Journalism Foundation and serves as an Associate at Creative Destruction Lab's Vancouver location, focusing on the Compute stream. His unique blend of experience across technology, media, public affairs, and AI positions him as a key figure in helping Radical's portfolio companies navigate the evolving AI landscape.
