Background

Abdol Moabery is a fourth-generation aviation industry leader and the founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of GA Telesis, one of the world's most comprehensive integrated commercial aviation services companies. Founded on April 10, 2002, alongside co-founder George Edward Batchelor, GA Telesis has grown from a startup into a global powerhouse operating across the Americas, Europe, and Asia with over $1 billion in annual operations. The company provides vertically integrated aviation services including engine, landing gear, component and aerostructural maintenance and engineering, aircraft replacement parts distribution and supply-chain management, aircraft and engine leasing, investment management, blockchain-based SaaS development, logistics, and ground support equipment.

Moabery is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy, where he developed foundational skills in discipline, leadership, and operations. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University (FAU), an institution with which he has maintained a lifelong connection. His 30+ years of direct experience in aviation spans multiple disciplines including flight operations, lease and structured finance, logistics, and maintenance. Prior to founding GA Telesis, Moabery served as Executive Vice President of Aviation Systems International, Inc., where he held responsibility for oversight and management of worldwide operations. Before that, he was Director of Marketing and Sales at C-S Aviation Services, Inc. (a Soros Fund Management company), where he was responsible for the sale and marketing of the company's aviation portfolio assets.

Under Moabery's leadership, GA Telesis has become a major player in aviation asset investment. Since 2007, the company's shareholders have grown to include global blue-chip institutional investors such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Tokyo Century Corporation, and All Nippon Airways. GA Telesis has been a leading originator and manager for many notable aviation investors in addition to managing its own substantial investment portfolio. Moabery has also established himself as an influential thought leader in aviation finance, authoring multiple industry commentaries on topics ranging from asset valuation cycles to loan-to-value dynamics in aviation finance.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the industry, Moabery received the prestigious Wright Brothers Memorial Award in 2014, one of aviation's highest honors. In July 2024, he was honored with the Aviation Suppliers Association's Champion Award for individuals who have made significant and inspirational contributions to the industry and the world at large through their leadership and innovative efforts. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Florida Atlantic University, having been reelected to this leadership position multiple times, and is President-elect of the Wings Club Foundation Board of Governors.

Moabery and his wife are prominent philanthropists through their family foundation, having donated and directed millions of dollars to charitable causes that directly impact children and young adults. Supported organizations include His House Children's Home, Kids in Distress, Florence Fuller Child Development Center, Food for the Poor, The Factory Youth Center, Florida Atlantic University Scholarship Fund, Unicorn Children's Foundation, the ISTAT Foundation, the Wings Club Foundation, the March of Dimes, and Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He resides in Delray Beach, Florida with his wife and two children.
