Abdul Guefor

Abdul Guefor is the Managing Director for EMEA at Intel Capital, Intel Corporation's global strategic investment and M&A arm, based in London. He joined Intel Capital in 1999 and has since become one of the firm's most experienced investors, leading the investment program across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region for over two decades. His specialization centers on semiconductor investments, particularly in device design and manufacturing technologies, though his portfolio spans cloud computing, Internet of Things, and mobility sectors.

Before joining Intel Capital, Abdul built a strong foundation in both engineering and finance. He began his career as an Engineer at Plessey Semiconductors, a British semiconductor manufacturer, where he gained hands-on technical experience in the semiconductor industry. He then transitioned to finance, working as a Manager in PwC Transaction Services, where he developed expertise in M&A, valuations, and financial due diligence. This unique combination of engineering knowledge and financial acumen positioned him well for a career in technology investing.

Abdul holds an honours degree in Electronic Engineering and is also a qualified Chartered Accountant, giving him both the technical depth to evaluate deep technology companies and the financial rigor to structure complex deals. Throughout his career at Intel Capital, he has led investments in some of Europe's most promising semiconductor and deep tech companies, serving as a director or board observer for portfolio companies and working closely with founding teams to scale their businesses. He has also been instrumental in executing M&A transactions on behalf of Intel, acquiring businesses in Denmark, Russia, and Germany to support Intel's strategic objectives.

Beyond his professional achievements, Abdul is an avid road cyclist who enjoys riding on dry days and describes himself as a beginner guitarist after many years of practice, demonstrating his persistence and commitment to continuous learning.
