Aditya Singh

Aditya "Adit" Singh is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Neotribe Ventures, an early-stage venture firm he launched in 2017 alongside Swaroop "Kittu" Kolluri. Neotribe describes its mandate as backing "breakthrough technologies that stretch the imagination." Originally from Kolkata, India, Singh earned a B.S. and M.S. in Computer/Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Singh describes himself as a hands-on, early-stage company builder with roughly 15 years of operating experience before moving fully into venture capital, having been part of three startups — one IPO, one acquisition, and one that failed. He began his career as an engineer at Growth Networks, a networking startup acquired by Cisco for ~$355M, where he then became a senior technical leader on the data-center infrastructure team, shipping converged servers, switches, and edge routers. He later joined Enphase Energy (networked solar microinverters) as an early product manager, rising to Senior Director of Product Management and taking the company through its 2012 NASDAQ IPO (ENPH). He also co-founded Bitsplay Systems, a data-center video-streaming appliance company, out of Foundation Capital's Entrepreneur-in-Residence program.

Singh transitioned into investing full-time at Foundation Capital, where from roughly 2013 to 2017 he was a Partner leading the B2B/enterprise practice — investing across enterprise applications, cloud infrastructure, analytics, and cybersecurity. He then co-founded Neotribe. His investor identity today spans both institutional venture (Neotribe, and a Partner role at Cota Capital since 2021) and active personal angel investing at the seed stage.

Outside of investing, Singh is a cricket enthusiast and volunteers with German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California.
