Background

Alexandre Neuvéglise is a French investor and entrepreneur based in Paris. He graduated from Audencia Nantes École de Management (2009–2013) and began his career as a founder, creating two companies early on — including Doctopolitan, an online medical appointment-booking venture launched around 2013 — before moving into investing. This operator background underpins Creadev's self-description as "investors who think like entrepreneurs."

For nearly a decade (roughly 2014/2015 to 2024) he was an Investment & Portfolio Director at Creadev, the evergreen investment company of the Mulliez family (the retail dynasty behind Auchan, Decathlon and Kiabi), which manages on the order of €3 billion. He was a leading figure in Creadev's Food branch, which set out to "accelerate the revolution of the global food system" across AgTech, FoodTech and aquaculture. By his own account he directly led around 15 investments representing roughly €120M and sat on the boards / oversaw the operational scale-up of portfolio companies, some of which grew past €100M in revenue.

In October 2024, after "nearly 10 years at Creadev," he announced his departure to co-found Nexera with Antoine Freysz (of Kerala Ventures). Nexera is an entrepreneur-led buy-and-build platform that acquires and develops SMEs in climate/HVAC and electrical engineering, aiming to build a leading champion in building energy performance in the Île-de-France region. The founders invest their own capital, partner with SME leaders generating €5–20M in revenue, and planned a first acquisition in Q1 2025.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Evergreen, entrepreneur-first capital: Creadev backs founders it can support long-term with "meaningful capital," positioning itself as a hands-on operating partner rather than a passive minority investor.
  • Food-system transformation: His Creadev branch focused on companies "revolutionizing the global food system" — plant-based and alternative proteins, insect protein, sustainable aquaculture, nutrition/nutraceuticals, and food-tech logistics.
  • Quality and category leadership: On the Nutri&Co deal he said Creadev was "quickly convinced of the strong development potential of players who put quality at the heart of their ambition," in a nutraceutical market "subject to controversy due to heterogeneous product quality."
  • Scale-up focus: He measures success in operational growth — the Food branch reported "+€100M invested, +660 jobs created and +51% average revenue growth" across portfolio companies in a 12-month stretch.
  • At Nexera (current): a buy-and-build ("reprise entrepreneuriale") thesis — acquiring profitable HVAC/electrical SMEs (€5–20M revenue), accelerating them with capital, AI and shared services, while preserving each company's autonomy.

Notable Investments

  • Nutri&Co — French nutraceutical / food-supplements brand; Creadev co-led a €4M round in September 2020 (alongside Jacques Chevallet, ex-Arkopharma CEO). Neuvéglise was the deal lead and a board representative.
  • Ÿnsect — insect-protein AgTech; Creadev participated in Ÿnsect's ~€60M round (2019). (The company later entered receivership.)
  • Innovafeed — insect-protein producer for animal and plant nutrition; part of Creadev's food portfolio.
  • The Kingfish Company / NORAY Seafood — sustainable land-based / aquaculture seafood producers in Creadev's portfolio.
  • Foodles — connected-fridge / workplace catering company in the food portfolio.
  • The Jackfruit Company, Growthwell Foods, share, Everytable, Gotham Greens, Twiga Foods, Hungry Harvest, ACCRO, Wholly Moly!, Salted, M2i Group — additional Creadev Food-branch holdings he cited in his portfolio review.
