Amine Marouf

Amine Marouf is a Principal at Kurma Partners, a leading European venture-capital firm specializing in Life Sciences, with offices in Paris and Munich. He was trained as a scientist before moving into investing: he holds a European Magistère in Genetics from Paris 7 / Paris Diderot University and a Master's degree from ESSEC Business School. Early in his career he worked in the project and portfolio management team at Roche Pharma, and from 2011 to 2015 he advised healthtech companies on strategy, fundraising, and M&A as a consultant for Advitech.

He joined Kurma Partners in June 2017 as an Associate and was promoted to Principal (around 2020) in recognition of his contribution to the firm's development, notably in building the Kurma Diagnostics portfolio by sourcing investment opportunities and structuring financing. In his Kurma role he has focused on market watch and deal sourcing in healthcare, managing relationships with research centers, incubators, hospitals, and startup studios across Europe, and serving as a jury member and board observer for various innovation programs.

Beyond Kurma, Marouf is a founder, board observer, and co-investor at Lucine, and has served as an Expert for France 2030 at Bpifrance's Cercle des Experts (since 2018) and as an Expert for EIT Health (since 2023). In December 2024 he took on a role as Investment Director for VC HealthTech at BNP Paribas (BNP Paribas Capital Partners / Développement), a position he held into 2025; sources differ on whether his primary affiliation is currently Kurma or BNP Paribas, so treat his day-to-day base as in transition.
