Anastasia Pavlova

Anastasia Pavlova spent roughly 15 years at RTP Global (originally founded as ru-Net in 2000), rising from senior lawyer (2008–2012) to General Counsel (2012–2018) and ultimately to Partner, Legal & Operations (2018–2020, and beyond). Over that period she watched — and helped enable — the firm grow from a team of fewer than 10 people in a single location into a globally distributed venture capital firm managing billions in assets, with offices across London, New York, Paris, and Bangalore.

Her mandate at RTP was operational and legal rather than deal-sourcing. She led the firm's legal, finance, and operations teams; built structure into its investment and back-office processes; managed the closing of primary and secondary investments; oversaw fund formation documentation, portfolio-company structuring, tax planning, and regulatory compliance; and was responsible for standing up new offices, launching new business lines, and coordinating outside counsel and service providers. In effect, she was the institutional backbone that let the investing partners scale.

On education, Pavlova holds a Bachelor's degree in International Law from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO, 2002–2007) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (2017–2018). She later pursued a TRIUM Global Executive MBA (2023–2025). She has also served as an executive of Berkeley Law's Start-up Lab and as Executive Director of the Startup Ecosystem at the Berkeley Global Society, where she contributes venture-capital and corporate-law expertise.

Her long RTP chapter appears to have concluded around 2023 (she publicly marked the completion of "a 15-year chapter"). She is now based in London; LinkedIn lists her as a founder in stealth mode, and other profiles describe a non-executive director role at a family office. Founders should note that her direct affiliation with RTP Global's day-to-day is likely no longer current.
