Background

Angad Singh is a Partner at Long Ridge Equity Partners, a New York–based growth equity firm focused on financial technology, business technology, and innovative services companies. Long Ridge manages roughly $1.7 billion of committed capital (as of October 2025) and has partnered with 30+ growth companies since 2007. Singh joined the firm in 2012 during its early days and was promoted to Partner effective January 30, 2020, alongside a firm-wide expansion of its leadership. He also sits on Long Ridge's Investment Committee.

At Long Ridge, Singh leads deal teams across the full investment lifecycle — origination, due diligence, deal structuring, execution, and post-investment portfolio management — and serves on multiple portfolio company boards, working closely with executive teams to accelerate growth. Founder & Managing Partner Jim Brown described him at the time of his promotion as "a critical member of the Long Ridge team since our earliest days."

Before Long Ridge, Singh was an Associate at Alinda Capital Partners, a large infrastructure-focused private equity firm (managing roughly $7 billion), where he worked on energy and telecom investments. He began his career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, where he was part of the Corporate Finance practice and Financial Services group, working on growth strategy engagements. He holds a B.A. in Biology with Honors from Haverford College.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Invests as a growth equity partner, not an angel: Long Ridge writes sizable equity checks (roughly $25M–$150M) into companies with real revenue and growth, taking board seats and an active operating role rather than passive early-stage bets.
  • Sector concentration in fintech, business technology, and tech-enabled services — trading and capital-markets technology, wealth management platforms, business process management (BPM), marketing/customer-data platforms, and increasingly applied/agentic AI.
  • Backs founder- and management-led businesses where Long Ridge can add value operationally; Singh personally emphasizes long-term "growth partnership" over pure financial engineering — on the QX Global deal he said the team was "very excited to welcome QX to the Long Ridge portfolio and have very high hopes of a truly rewarding growth partnership."
  • Looks for companies that can scale into category leaders, often supporting M&A, expansion, and professionalization post-investment (Long Ridge's track record includes IPOs and 12+ acquisitions across the portfolio).
