Background

Anthony DiSimone is the Chief Executive Officer and a Managing Director of Peak Rock Capital, an Austin, Texas–based middle-market private investment firm he helped build into a multi-fund platform spanning private equity, corporate credit, and commercial real estate. In this role he oversees the firm's investment strategy and has served on the boards of numerous middle-market portfolio companies, working with management teams to drive accelerated growth and operational/performance improvement.

Before Peak Rock, DiSimone accumulated extensive private equity leadership experience as a Managing Partner and Managing Director at investment funds affiliated with Aurora Capital Group and H.I.G. Capital, respectively. Earlier in his career he was a Manager at Bain & Company, where he led turnaround and performance-improvement, mergers-and-acquisitions, and corporate strategy engagements — a background that informs Peak Rock's hands-on, operationally intensive investment style.

DiSimone completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University and earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Over his career he has completed a broad variety of investments across numerous industries and transaction types.

Under his leadership, Peak Rock has scaled significantly: in September 2025 the firm announced it had raised over $3 billion across its latest vehicles, including Peak Rock Capital Fund IV (closed at its $2.5 billion hard cap, above a $2.0 billion target) and roughly $500 million for Peak Rock Capital Credit Fund III and related hybrid vehicles.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Invests in middle-market businesses, typically those with $50 million to $1 billion in revenue, writing equity checks of up to ~$500 million per transaction.
  • Focuses on situations where the firm can support senior management to drive rapid growth and performance improvement — reflecting DiSimone's operational/turnaround roots at Bain and Aurora.
  • Specializes in corporate carve-outs and in partnering with families and founders seeking first-time institutional capital.
  • Sector-agnostic within its core areas: business services, consumer products, distribution, energy services, healthcare, industrials, manufacturing, media, technology, and metals.
  • Operates a multi-strategy platform — private equity, corporate credit, and commercial real estate — giving flexibility in how capital is deployed.

Notable Investments

  • Aegis Software — enterprise manufacturing execution system (MES) software provider; acquisition by a Peak Rock Capital affiliate completed August 2025.
  • UL Solutions' Employee Health & Safety (EHS) Software Business — a corporate carve-out that a Peak Rock affiliate agreed to acquire (announced early 2026).
  • Dalziel Ingredients — food-ingredients distribution business acquired by Peak Rock (2026).
  • Peak Rock Capital Fund IV ($2.5 billion, closed 2025) and Credit Fund III (~$500 million) — the flagship vehicles funding these deals.
