Brad Denenberg

Brad Denenberg is a Philadelphia-based technology entrepreneur, angel investor, and community organizer best known for founding Seed Philly, a nonprofit startup accelerator and coworking hub that opened in December 2011 at 1650 Arch Street in Center City. Under Denenberg, Seed Philly grew into one of the region's central startup gathering places — he has estimated it housed roughly 130 companies that created about 500 jobs, and he used the space to broker introductions between local founders and roughly 50 corporate partners and 50 venture funds, including large players such as Adobe, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Samsung. Seed Philly's first tenant was OneTwoSee, a second-screen/TV-companion sports-media startup that was later acquired by Comcast. Because the building changed hands (it sold for nearly $70 million) and Seed Philly was left on a month-to-month lease, the space wound down operations at the end of October 2015.

Beyond Seed Philly, Denenberg has been a long-running builder of Philadelphia's tech community. He was one of the co-founders of Philly Startup Leaders (alongside Aaron McLean, Doug Bellenger, and Tracey Welson-Rossman), recognized again at the organization's 2023 anniversary awards, and in May 2014 he helped launch the Philly New Tech Meetup with Mike Krupit, Eamon Gallagher, Cory Donovan, and Brittany Esser to revive the city's flagship tech-meetup scene.

More recently, Denenberg has focused on workforce-education technology as founder and CEO of Edcelerant, which builds roughly 800-hour, bootcamp-style accelerated certificate / pre-apprenticeship programs designed with employers, packaging 100+ micro-credentials into accredited, Title IV loan-eligible non-degree certificates. His LinkedIn profile also lists him as the founder of a stealth AI sports-card grading and authentication startup, reflecting an interest in the fast-growing collectibles/AI space, and he works as an independent consultant. He studied at Penn State University.
