Brad Johns

Brad Johns is a Venture Partner at Yaletown Partners, based in the firm's Calgary office. Yaletown says he spends his time managing existing portfolio companies, looking for new business opportunities, and supporting the Innovation Growth Fund and Accelerate Fund teams.

Before joining Yaletown, Johns was a partner at Moneta Capital, where he was responsible for information and industrial technology investments. He also served as vice president of Launchworks, described by Yaletown as a venture capital firm that was among the top performers in its vintage.

Earlier in his career, Johns was an executive at Nortel, working in manufacturing and product management leadership roles in Canada and the United Kingdom. Yaletown credits him with more than 35 years of private equity, venture capital, business development, product management, and manufacturing automation experience.

Johns holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University, an M.Eng. in Systems Engineering from McMaster University, and an MBA from INSEAD.
