Chris Bodnar

Chris Bodnar has been an active member of the investment team at Eastward Capital Partners since 2010, where he serves as an Investment Partner. His work focuses on sourcing and originating investment opportunities, tracking industry trends, evaluating potential deals, and ongoing portfolio management. Eastward describes his blend of industry-analyst and private-equity experience as an important asset in underwriting and originating transactions.

Before Eastward, Bodnar spent roughly a decade as a senior equity analyst at Bear Stearns, covering the commodity, specialty, and diversified chemical, water, and ag-biotech industries on a global basis. In that role he was recognized by *Institutional Investor* magazine as a "Best Up-and-Comer" in the Specialty Chemical category and cited by *The Wall Street Journal* as an "All-Star" for earnings-estimate accuracy across the chemical industry.

He subsequently joined the private equity firm Great Hill Partners and the investment bank Ladenburg Thalmann, and later served as an advisor reporting to the senior management team and Board of Directors of Metabolix (a bioscience/bioplastics company). He is a graduate of Boston University and earned his graduate degree at the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. Outside of investing, Chris has been involved with several charities and served as a Trustee of the South Shore YMCA.
