Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Invests through Nordic Capital’s private equity platform, not as an angel investor; the stub description as “Angel Investors” and “Seed Round” is not supported by the firm’s current profile.
  • Focuses on Financial Services, with stated sub-sector depth in Retail Lending and P&C Insurance.
  • Nordic Capital’s stated investment strategy is to “find, invest in and build stronger sustainable businesses” in selected sectors and geographies.
  • Financial Services focus areas include Banking & Lending, P&C Insurance, Savings and Wealth Management, and Tech-enabled Service Providers.
  • Nordic Capital looks for companies with opportunities for growth acceleration, structural transformation, operational improvement, buy-and-build, strategic repositioning, and international expansion.
  • The firm emphasizes active ownership and partnership with management teams, usually where it can provide value-adding support as a majority owner.
  • Scale fit matters: Nordic Capital’s main strategy targets companies valued above EUR 300 million, while its mid-market strategy targets EUR 50-500 million companies.
