Christopher Sauerzopf

Chris Sauerzopf is a real estate and title-technology entrepreneur based in the Columbus, Ohio area. Public sources consistently place him in the title and real estate transaction industry rather than in a conventional venture-capital role. World Class Title lists him as “Co-Owner | Sales Manager,” and Real Producers lists him as Co-Owner of World Class Title with the firm’s Westerville contact information.

Before World Class Title’s current Smart platform work, Sauerzopf founded or helped build multiple real estate-technology companies. Rev1 Ventures wrote in 2015 that he was CEO of SocialMLS, a cloud platform that used a home seller’s Facebook network to help market property listings and increase agent referrals. Columbus Underground also identified him as SocialMLS founder and quoted him on learning to validate whether his target market actually cared about the product.

Sauerzopf later co-founded SafeChain / SafeChain Financial, a Columbus startup applying blockchain and identity verification to real estate title transactions and wire-fraud prevention. In 2020–2021, Sauerzopf led SafeWire, a real estate wire-fraud prevention company. PRNewswire identified him as SafeWire’s co-founder and CEO when the company launched its Real Estate Wire Fraud Tracker in February 2021. ClosingLock acquired select assets of SafeWire in December 2021. More recently, Sauerzopf is building Smart / Smart Title Ventures from inside World Class Title, positioning title as “transaction infrastructure” using AI, audit trails, interoperability, and embedded fraud prevention.
