Christopher Spahr

Christopher Spahr is a co-founder of AHR Growth Partners, a Chicago-based firm (founded ~2014–2015) that provides growth capital and M&A/advisory guidance to emerging consumer and franchising brands. He co-founded the firm alongside John Bahr, who serves as Managing Partner; the firm's name reflects the founders' initials. AHR combines direct investing with corporate advisory work, drawing on the founders' decades of experience in consumer and retail transactions and an extensive operator/board network.

Before AHR, Spahr spent nearly two decades at William Blair & Company, where he rose to Managing Director and Head of Specialty Retail Investment Banking, focusing on "better living" retail, restaurant, and consumer companies with extensive public- and private-transaction experience. In April 2013 he joined Partnership Capital Growth Advisors (PCG) as a Partner, opening and leading the firm's Chicago office and sourcing/leading deals for growing retail, restaurant, and consumer brands. Earlier in his career he began as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co.

Spahr earned a B.A. from Cornell University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a FINRA-registered individual (BrokerCheck: Christopher Roy Spahr). Beyond investing, he has served on the Board of Directors of LEARN Charter School Network, a Chicagoland college-preparatory elementary school network, and has been associated with a venture called Walden Travels (listed in his professional profiles).
