Cileneu Nunes

Cileneu Nunes is a São Paulo–based technology entrepreneur, operator and angel investor with a decades-long track record in vehicle tracking, telematics and logistics software. He trained at the University of São Paulo (USP), earning an electronic engineering degree from the Escola Politécnica and a business administration degree from USP's economics and administration faculty. Over his career he co-founded several ventures, including Amplus Informática, SkyLink Paging Services, and — most notably — OmniLink, the tracking company that was later consolidated into Zatix Tecnologia.

Nunes's association with Zatix is central to his profile. Zatix was formed from the merger of OmniLink with Graber Rastreamento and Teletrim. He served in senior roles across multiple stints — director of technology/engineering and, from 2013, president of the group — where he led a turnaround focused on product innovation, service improvements and a targeted ~30% sales increase. He remained a shareholder of the business, which completed roughly eight acquisitions before being sold in 2019.

Since 2009 he has run Upaya Desenvolvimento Corporativo, a boutique corporate-development firm through which he mentors startups (strategic planning, go-to-market, fundraising, M&A) and helps corporations build open-innovation programs and accelerators. From October 2021 to May 2024 he structured and led nstech Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of nstech — the largest supply-chain software company in Latin America — investing in logtechs, insurtechs, IoT and mobility startups and connecting them to nstech's platform of clients (tens of thousands of transportation companies and a database of millions of truck drivers).

In June 2024 he founded and became CEO of AIOTI, a São Paulo mobility-tech startup whose "SafePilot" product is a mobile telemetry app and fleet/driver-management portal that uses gamified, educational and telematics tools to encourage safer driving and reduce accidents. He has also contributed to the ecosystem as a volunteer mentor with InovAtiva Brasil (since 2016) and as a co-founder of Gristec, Brazil's risk-management and tracking-technology association.

• Invests at seed / early stage, favoring startups that are already maturing and can be accelerated through operator mentorship rather than pure capital.
