Craig Litman

Craig A. Litman co-founded Litman Gregory with Ken Gregory in 1987. The firm developed as a research-driven wealth and asset-management business focused on mutual-fund analysis, manager selection, asset allocation, and advisory services for individuals, nonprofits, advisers, and institutions.

In the 1990s, Litman was publicly identified as chief executive officer of Litman/Gregory & Co. Inc. LLC and Litman/Gregory Fund Advisors LLC. Litman and Gregory were also publishers of the *No-Load Fund Analyst* newsletter, which focused less on short-term fund performance and more on investment-manager style, stability, and process.

Litman Gregory launched the Masters Select Equity Fund in 1996/1997, a multi-manager mutual fund that gave selected public-equity managers concentrated mandates. The original managers included Shelby Davis, Jean-Marie Eveillard, Foster Friess, Mason Hawkins, Spiros Segalas, and Richard Weiss. Litman later held governance and officer roles with Litman Gregory Funds Trust, including Secretary and Trustee, while also serving as Treasurer and Secretary of the fund adviser and Managing Member of Litman Gregory Asset Management.

Craig A. Litman was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1975 and resigned from the bar in 2016 with no charges pending, according to the State Bar’s public attorney profile. In 2021, iM Global Partner agreed to acquire Litman Gregory, then described as overseeing about $6.2 billion in assets. In late 2025, Litman Gregory Wealth Management was acquired by Beacon Pointe Advisors and transitioned to Beacon Pointe effective January 1, 2026.
