Daniel Brintnell

Dan Brintnell is a Toronto-based private-markets and wealth-management executive with more than 25 years of experience across financial services. He earned an Honours Business Administration degree from the University of Waterloo and holds the FEA (Family Enterprise Advisor) designation certified by Family Enterprise Canada. Over his career he has held senior management roles at Merrill Lynch, DundeeWealth, Cygnus Investment Partners, and, currently, Overbay Capital Partners.

From roughly 2015 to 2019 he was Partner and Chief Relationship Officer at Cygnus Investment Partners LP — a Toronto firm founded in 2014 that gave Canadian institutional and qualified private investors proprietary access to the alternative-investment products of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR). Cygnus later became affiliated with OCP Fund Management (the "OCP Cygnus" structure). He is responsible for client relationships across all of Overbay's investor channels — pension plans, foundations, endowments, asset managers, family offices, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals and their advisors — matching client objectives with private-market solutions.

Beyond his firm role, Brintnell is active in the family-enterprise community: he serves as a Family Enterprise Canada Ambassador, sits on its Central Ontario Advisory Board, and chairs the annual Family Enterprise of the Year Awards. He has also been listed as an owner of Linell Enterprises (Oakville, Ontario) and has presented within the TIGER 21 ultra-high-net-worth peer network.
