Daniel Jinich

Daniel Jinich is a Managing Partner at ACON Investments, a Washington, D.C.–based private equity firm that has managed more than $1.5 billion in investments and operates offices in Washington, Mexico City and São Paulo. He joined ACON in 2000 and has spent his career across private equity, operating and merchant-banking roles.

Before ACON, Jinich was a senior investment professional with Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst, the prominent Dallas-based leveraged-buyout firm. Earlier, he served as an operating executive at a diversified industrial conglomerate based in Mexico City, and prior to that he worked in the Merchant Banking Group at Bankers Trust Company in New York City. This combination of buyout, operating and cross-border experience underpins ACON's focus on U.S. and Latin American businesses.

He holds a B.A. in Economics (cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He is a member of the YPO Gold U.S. Capital Chapter.

At ACON, Jinich has been an active board member and chairman across the firm's portfolio. He currently chairs the board of DWP and has served on the boards of BioMatrix, ImpreMedia, Magic Media, Peter Piper, Radiovisa, RMH Franchise Holdings, IWP (as Chairman) and other ACON fund/investment-vehicle portfolio companies. He also served on the board of ACON S2 Acquisition Corp., a sustainability-focused SPAC (NASDAQ: STWOU) that completed a business combination with ESS Inc. (NYSE: GWH).
