David Goldstein

David Goldstein is President of Diamond Ventures, Inc., a Tucson-based real estate development and investment company founded in 1988. Diamond Ventures says he has held the President role since the company’s inception and is responsible for the company’s overall strategic vision and priorities.

In his current role, Goldstein oversees policies for managing Diamond Ventures’ residential, commercial real estate, and technology-investment portfolio, and sets criteria for new investment opportunities for Diamond Ventures and DVI Equity Partners. The firm describes Diamond Ventures as investing in real estate and independent businesses across the Southwest, with offices in Tucson and Denver.

Goldstein began his career as a CPA at Ernst & Whinney and Coopers & Lybrand, then served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Sales for Venture West Group, Inc. He holds a finance degree from the University of Connecticut and an M.B.A. from the University of Arizona.

Goldstein is also active in regional civic and economic-development circles. Diamond Ventures lists board service with the Arizona Commerce Authority and Tucson Airport Authority; the Southern Arizona Leadership Council lists him as President of Diamond Ventures.

• DVI Equity Partners was formed in 2018 by Diamond Ventures and Robert Griffin to expand Diamond’s venture-capital work in early-stage emerging technology companies across the Southwest.
• DVI says it specializes in micro-cap investments in startup and early-stage companies and seeks to be the “first institutional money in” at Series A.
• The firm looks for disruptive or disintermediating technologies, particularly in technology-related sectors, emerging-growth companies, and expansion-stage growth-equity opportunities.
