David Ramirez

David Ramirez is a CFA charterholder and a recognized 401(k) and retirement-investing expert with more than 20 years of experience across 401(k) plans, ERISA, cash balance plans, and ESOPs. He earned a B.S. in Political Economics of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley. Earlier in his career he also worked at the valuation and advisory firm Sanli Pastore & Hill, Inc.

Before founding ForUsAll, Ramirez was a portfolio manager at Financial Engines (NASDAQ: FNGN), the 401(k) advisory firm founded by Nobel Laureate economist William F. Sharpe. There he worked alongside Sharpe's team and helped manage roughly $50–55 billion in retirement assets for employees of Fortune 100/500 companies and state governments. He is also co-awarded a patent related to constructing retirement drawdown portfolios.

In 2012, Ramirez co-founded ForUsAll with colleagues from the Financial Engines team. The company is a tech-enabled 401(k) advisor aimed at bringing Fortune 500-caliber retirement plans to small and mid-sized businesses, combining investment management, automated plan administration and payroll reconciliation, and financial-wellness tools. Ramirez serves as Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer (and is described in several sources as CEO).
