Background
Dimitris Raptis is a real estate executive, advisor, and investor best known for co-founding and leading Globalworth Real Estate Investments Ltd., the LSE-listed office investor and landlord focused on Romania and Poland. Globalworth says he joined the group at its founding in 2012 as Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer, became Co-CEO from March to December 2020, and then Group CEO from December 2020 until his departure in December 2022.
During his Globalworth tenure, he had primary responsibility for investment and capital-raising initiatives and, from 2017, the Polish business. Globalworth states that he oversaw approximately €2.7 billion of acquisitions and developments and helped raise about €5 billion of equity and debt capital, growing the company from a €53 million Bucharest-focused developer at its 2013 AIM listing to a business with more than €3 billion of assets.
Before Globalworth, Raptis spent 16 years at Deutsche Bank, mostly in its real estate investment management business. Endeavor Greece says he rose to Managing Director heading Deutsche Bank’s European real estate private equity team, then known as RREEF Real Estate Opportunistic Investments, where he managed a portfolio of 40 investments with more than €6 billion gross asset value and executed more than €5.5 billion of real estate private equity transactions. A conference biography also states he was Managing Director and European Head of Portfolio Management for RREEF Opportunistic Investments from 2008 to 2012.
Raptis holds a First Class BSc (Hons) in Banking and International Finance from City University Business School / Cass Business School in London. Since 2023, Infinity Asset Management says he has been leading Skyline Real Estate, a real estate holding company managing a €450 million portfolio of around 600 Greek assets acquired from Alpha Bank.
Investment Thesis & Focus
- Raptis’ publicly documented investment record is concentrated in institutional real estate rather than early-stage venture. His focus has been acquiring, developing, financing, and managing commercial assets at scale.
- At Globalworth, his stated strategic focus was to build the company into the “CEE’s leading office investor and landlord of choice” for multinational tenants across Romania and Poland.
- He has emphasized long-term ownership of prime assets, saying Globalworth “always thought as a long-term institutional investor focused on prime assets, first in Romania, and as of 2017 also in Poland.”
- He appears most relevant to founders or operators in real estate, proptech, flexible workspace, asset management, and CEE / Greek market expansion, especially where the pitch connects to real estate capital, tenants, asset operations, or institutional investors.
- Through Endeavor Greece, his listed functional expertise is “Leadership” and “Raising Capital & Investing,” suggesting mentorship value around scaling, capital formation, and institutional investor relations rather than small seed checks.
- No public source verified a personal seed-stage check size or a repeatable angel-investment program.
