Edelweis Ritt

Edelweis Garcez Ritt is a Brazilian semiconductor and microelectronics executive with a strong technical foundation. She earned a degree in Computer Science from PUC-RS, a master's degree from UFRGS, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Tübingen in Germany (doctoral studies 1994–1998), followed by postdoctoral research there. She began her career in Germany at Agilent Technologies working on chip design before returning to the Brazilian electronics sector.

Over her career she has held roles across Brazil's semiconductor ecosystem, including at CEITEC S.A. (where she has been associated with senior sales and marketing leadership), Semikron Brasil, and Unitec Semicondutores. Since 2018 she has been at HT Micron Semicondutores — a São Leopoldo–based joint venture with South Korea's Hana Micron located in the Tecnosinos technology park — where she leads institutional relations and strategic alliances. In that role she has been publicly associated with partnerships such as the Everynet / HT Micron collaboration to develop an integrated IoT radio chip in Brazil.

Beyond her operating role, Ritt is a prominent voice in Brazilian semiconductor policy and industry organization. She has served as a Director of ABISEMI (Associação Brasileira da Indústria de Semicondutores) since August 2021 (previously Vice President, 2017–2018, and Director of Innovation, 2020–2021), sits on the board of P&D Brasil, and was Innovation Director at SBMICRO.
