Background

Édouard Ferri is a graduate of Université Paris-Dauphine and a scion of a long-established French financial family — he is a direct descendant (great-grandson) of Louis Ferri, who founded the securities brokerage house Ferri in 1900. Édouard joined the family firm Ferri in 1990, where he ran the private-client (gestion privée) department before striking out to build his own asset-management business.

In 1998, Ferri partnered with Jean-Marc Étienne to co-found the Claresco group, an independent portfolio-management company. He has served as President of the Board of Directors (Président du Conseil d'Administration) since 6 November 2000 and remains the firm's driving force. Under his leadership Claresco was structured to be 100% owned by its managers and employees, a deliberate choice to preserve full independence from banking or insurance groups.

Today Claresco Finance manages more than 630 million (as of 31 December 2025) on behalf of over 800 client families, institutions and professionals. The firm is organized around three centers of excellence: US and European equities, flexible diversified management, and thematic management of listed real estate, precious metals and innovation. Ferri combines the running of a private-wealth business with the management of a transparent, performance-oriented range of open-ended funds.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Invests primarily in publicly listed securities, not private startups — spanning French small/mid-caps, European and US large-caps, listed real estate and gold/precious-metals equities.
  • Pursues active, conviction-driven stock-picking aiming to outperform benchmarks over the medium term (e.g., Claresco Avenir vs. CAC Mid & Small NR; Claresco USA vs. Dow Jones Industrial Average NR; Claresco Europe vs. Bloomberg Eurozone 50).
  • Runs a dedicated innovation thesis through Claresco Innovation, targeting innovative companies in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and personalized medicine, benchmarked against the Bloomberg World Large & Mid Cap index over a recommended 5-year horizon.
  • Emphasizes independence and alignment — the firm is wholly owned by its team, which Ferri frames as the foundation of objective, client-first management.
  • Offers flexible/diversified multi-asset strategies (Claresco Allocation Flexible, Claresco Placement) for investors seeking managed allocation across equities and bonds.

Notable Investments

  • Claresco Innovation — International equities in AI, digital infrastructure and personalized medicine; the firm's flagship innovation/thematic fund.
  • Claresco USA — US equities, benchmarked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average Net Return.
  • Claresco Europe — European large-cap equities targeting outperformance of the Bloomberg Eurozone 50.
  • Claresco Avenir — French mid- and small-cap stocks (vs. CAC Mid & Small NR).
  • Claresco PME — European mid-sized companies (ETI, <5,000 employees), PEA-PME eligible.

  • Claresco Placement / Claresco Allocation Flexible — Diversified multi-asset and flexible allocation funds.
