Edward Bayman

Ed Bayman is a co-founder and Director of Pentera Trust, a boutique independent fiduciary services firm in St Helier, Jersey. He was born in Somerset in 1966, educated at Sherborne School in Dorset, studied Business Studies at the University of Buckingham, and completed an MBA at Manchester Business School in 2000. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP), and holds a BSc (Hons).

He has worked in Jersey's finance sector since 1994. In 1996 he joined Ernst & Young's trust division; when RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) acquired E&Y's Jersey trust business around 2000, he moved across and was appointed a director. In 2004 he became Managing Director of a mid-sized Jersey trust company then owned by Chilterns PLC, before co-founding Pentera Trust in 2005.

Across his career he has administered complex private structures — private family companies and quoted companies, aircraft, and substantial diversified property and investment portfolios — on behalf of high-net-worth executives and international families. Crunchbase lists him as "Founder & Managing Director" of Pentera Trust and notes his prior directorship at RBC Wealth Management. Outside work he is married (to Laura) with two children, and enjoys skiing and following Bath rugby.

Pentera Trust positions itself on absolute independence in ownership, management and decision-making, transparent fixed-fee billing agreed in advance, and a two-director model so each client always has continuity of contact.
