Ellen Ng

Ellen Ng is a Managing Director at Warburg Pincus and Co-Head of the firm's Asia Real Estate business, based in Hong Kong. She joined Warburg Pincus in 2005 and has spent roughly two decades building the firm's real estate franchise in the region, first leading its China real estate activities and later being elevated — alongside Takashi Murata — to co-lead Asia real estate as part of the firm's December 2023 reorganization naming its next generation of Asia leaders. She is a member of the firm's Executive Management Group and co-heads the Women@Warburg initiative.

Before joining Warburg Pincus, Ng worked at Merrill Lynch in the Investment Banking Division, where she focused on corporate finance transactions across China and other parts of Asia. She holds a B.Sc. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is a CFA charterholder.

In her current role, Ng is responsible for entity-level, programmatic joint-venture, and project-level investments spanning residential, commercial, and industrial real estate. Under the leadership team she co-heads, Warburg Pincus has invested more than $10 billion across approximately 60 real estate platforms in Asia Pacific, concentrating on "new economy" real estate sectors — data centers, logistics, life sciences, and rental living. She sits on the boards of numerous portfolio companies, including DNE Group, Princeton Digital Group, CREATER Group, Bohao Group, Golden Union Assets, Mofang Apartment, Sunsea Parking, Weave Living, and StoreCool Logistics JV.
