Eric Friddell

Eric Friddell is a Principal on the investment team at W Capital Partners, a New York-based private-equity firm founded in 2001 that specializes in providing shareholder liquidity through direct secondary and GP-led transactions. In his role he focuses on the analysis and execution of new investment opportunities and on supporting the firm's existing portfolio companies. W Capital manages more than $1.6 billion and has completed over 70 portfolio transactions across more than 100 private-equity- and venture-backed companies.

Friddell joined W Capital Partners in 2016. He came from Credit Suisse's Financial Institutions Group, where he worked on M&A and corporate-finance transactions for a range of public and private global clients. He earned a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia's McIntire School, concentrating in Finance and Accounting.

As part of his portfolio responsibilities, Friddell has held board and board-observer roles at W Capital investments, including BeatGig (a live-music booking and event-hosting platform), CollegeNET (a SaaS provider serving higher-education institutions), PlayYourCourt (a platform connecting tennis players with instructors), and Flag & Anthem (a men's apparel brand). Some aggregator profiles list his title as "Vice President" or "Senior Associate," reflecting earlier stages of his tenure; W Capital's own team page currently lists him as Principal.
