Eric Wahlforss

Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss is a Swedish serial entrepreneur best known for co-founding SoundCloud with Alexander Ljung in 2007. Based in Berlin since the company's founding, he served in senior product and technology roles (Chief Technology Officer and later Chief Product Officer) through early 2019, helping scale the audio platform to hundreds of millions of users worldwide. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Earlier in his life he was an electronic musician under the alias "Forss," releasing on the Berlin label Sonar Kollektiv.

After leaving SoundCloud, he founded Dance in 2020, a premium e-bike (and e-moped) subscription service headquartered in Berlin, raising tens of millions of euros from investors including HV Capital and Eurazeo. Following a 2026 combination with Swapfiets, he transitioned from CEO to Chairman, with co-founder Christian Springub taking over as CEO.

Since 2011 he has invested through his holding company, Klaradal, which both builds and backs technology companies. Originally focused on consumer internet, Klaradal's strategy has broadened into deep tech, climate tech, and AI. He is also a member of Founders Pledge, reflecting a philanthropic, impact-oriented bent, and today describes his focus as building Dance, supporting climate-focused founders as an angel, and being a present father.
