Eva Skarin Montgomerie

Eva Skarin Montgomerie has served as Head of Accounting at Karolinska Development AB since 2013, based in the Stockholm/Solna area. She sits within the company's finance function alongside CFO Hans Christopher "HC" Toll and Financial Manager Elisabet Gimbringer, supporting a portfolio of life-science holdings. She was educated at the Stockholm School of Economics.

Her career spans more than three decades in Swedish finance and accounting. She began at SEB in 1989, holding a series of accounting roles including Accounting Manager and project-leading positions through 1999. She then moved into industry and asset management: Ekonomichef (finance director) at Domaine Wines (1999–2006), a consulting finance role at Bodhi Underwears (2006–2007), a finance position at Erik Penser Fonder AB (2007–2010), Ekonomiansvarig at NovaSAID AB (2009–2011), and a finance role at ACTAR (2008–2013), before joining Karolinska Development.

Karolinska Development (which operates the KDventures brand) is an investment company that identifies medical innovation — much of it originating from the Karolinska Institutet ecosystem — and invests in building and growing companies that develop those assets into differentiated products. As Head of Accounting, Eva's remit is the accounting and financial reporting of the parent company and its holdings rather than sourcing or leading investments.
