Background
Evan Golden was a Principal at LongueVue Capital (LVC), a New Orleans–based middle-market private equity firm founded in 2001. LVC manages over $1 billion of committed capital across multiple funds — its LVC IV fund closed at $360 million in 2022 — and partners with entrepreneurs and management teams to drive value creation in lower- and middle-market companies across specialty packaging, consumer, healthcare, food & beverage, transportation & logistics, and precision manufacturing. Golden joined LVC in 2016 and rose to Principal, leading and supporting deal execution on several of the firm's platform investments and add-on acquisitions.
Before LVC, Golden built a finance and research track record: investment banking at Raymond James (2014–2016), equity research work with Burkenroad Reports (2013–2014) and Luther King Capital Management (2012), a corporate development role at Rackspace (2013), and a Legislative Assistant position in the U.S. Senate office of Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (2011). He earned a B.S. in Management from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business and studied International Finance at Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid.
In 2024, Golden transitioned out of LongueVue Capital to become Chief Executive Officer of KREWE, the independent New Orleans luxury eyewear brand founded by Stirling Barrett in 2013. He also joined the board of Kingston Brass, an LVC portfolio company he helped acquire. As a result, the LVC contact information in the stub is legacy; founders seeking a private-equity partner at LVC today should engage the firm's current investment team, while Golden's operating focus is now KREWE.
Investment Thesis & Focus
- Invests as a control/growth private equity partner in the lower and middle market — not as an angel or seed investor.
- Typical equity checks in the ~$10M–$50M range, targeting companies with revenue up to ~$150M and EBITDA over ~$3M.
- Sector-agnostic in practice but concentrated in specialty packaging, consumer/branded products, healthcare, food & beverage, logistics, and precision manufacturing; LVC is drawn to value-oriented situations — restructurings, turnarounds, divestitures, and family-business transitions.
- Favors brand and platform potential: on the Kingston Brass deal Golden framed the thesis as buying a brand, not just a product — *"Kingston is not just a provider of plumbing fixtures; it's a lifestyle brand."*
- Buy-and-build oriented: LVC backs platform companies (e.g., Summit Plastics) and pursues add-on acquisitions to scale them.
Notable Investments
- Kingston Brass (Feb 2024) — LVC's acquisition of the Chino, CA designer/distributor of kitchen and bath fixtures (founded 1998, ~150 employees). Golden was quoted on the deal and joined the board.
- Summit Plastics — LVC's specialty-packaging platform company, used as a base for consolidation.
- Fredman Bag — add-on acquisition by Summit Plastics; Golden (as Principal) worked alongside Ryan Nagim and Associate Baker Saslow on the transaction.
- Clear View Packaging — another add-on completed by Summit Plastics, expanding the packaging platform.
