Evelyn Pellicone

Evelyn Pellicone is a Partner and the Chief Financial Officer of Crestview Partners, a value-oriented private equity firm based in New York that manages over $10 billion in capital commitments. She joined Crestview in March 2007 as CFO and oversees the firm's financial operations and financial reporting. Importantly, her role is that of the firm's finance and operations leader rather than a deal-making investment partner — she manages the back-office, fund accounting, tax, compliance, and reporting functions that support Crestview's investment teams.

Before Crestview, Pellicone was CFO of Apax Partners U.S., the American arm of the global private equity firm. Earlier in her career she was an audit manager in the financial services practice at EisnerAmper, a regional advisory and CPA firm. This progression — from public-accounting audit into private equity finance leadership — gives her deep grounding in fund-level financial controls, regulatory complexity, and investor reporting.

She holds a B.S. in accounting from Rutgers Business School and is a Certified Public Accountant. Beyond Crestview, Pellicone is active in the institutional finance community: she is a member and board member of the NY Private Equity CFO Association (PECFOA), a member of the New York State Society of CPAs, and has served on the National Venture Capital Association's CFO Task Force.

In interviews about the CFO function, Pellicone has described how the role has broadened over her tenure to encompass cyber-security and compliance — including guarding against fraudulent wire-transfer email requests and ransomware — as well as managing a growing finance team and navigating increasingly complex tax structures and regulations.
