Georgina Fleming

Georgina Fleming is a London-based climate-tech investor and entrepreneur. She holds a BA in Psychology and Spanish from Boston University and an MBA from the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School (2014–2015). Before moving into venture capital, she worked as an investment manager at a leading family office in Southeast Asia and at a London-based credit fund financing physical commodity trading. She also gained hands-on operating experience as the founder of an agribusiness firm and helped set up the Rwanda Water Resource Board, a mandate that reported to the country's Prime Minister's Office. This Rwandan agriculture/water-resources work is the most likely origin of her association with the H2O Venture Partners (h2ovp.com) domain — an Oxford-based impact firm that builds smallholder agribusinesses in Rwanda — although she does not appear on H2O's current published team page.

Fleming spent the core of her VC career at Systemiq Capital, a London-based venture firm backing early-stage climate entrepreneurs. She joined the wider Systemiq organization around 2017 (Director at Systemiq Ltd, ~2017–2019), then became a partner/Investment Director at Systemiq Capital (roughly 2019–2023), where she led or co-led a number of Fund I investments. She has continued her relationship with the firm as a Venture Partner. As an investor she framed her theme around enabling low-carbon systems, noting for example that "traceability and digitisation are key to facilitating ethical and low-carbon sourcing and production."

More recently, Fleming founded and now leads Semata.ai (also referenced as Kupa) as Founder & CEO, a climate/carbon-focused venture. Outside her investing work, she is the founder and UK & USA Country Manager of ZOF Africa, a volunteer-run charity providing digital-technology education to low-income students in Zimbabwe, reflecting her paternal family's Zimbabwean roots.
