Gordon Yen

Dr. Gordon Yen is the Founding Managing Partner of Radiant Tech Ventures Limited, a Hong Kong–based venture capital firm he established in 2014. The firm is licensed by Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for Type 9 (asset management) regulated activities, and Yen serves as its licensed Responsible Officer (CE No. AFB837). He has more than 25 years of operational and board-level experience in private and listed companies spanning cross-border investments, global supply chains, manufacturing, and infrastructure businesses.

Yen's involvement in innovation and technology investing dates back to the late 1990s, when he began making angel investments and managing corporate and venture capital fund investments in startups across Hong Kong, Mainland China, Israel, and the United States. Beyond his venture work, he holds senior positions in established listed companies: he is Non-executive Vice-Chairman of Fountain Set (Holdings) Limited (SEHK: 0420), a major textile group, and an Independent Non-executive Director (and Chairman of the Sustainability Committee) of Impro Precision Industries Limited (SEHK: 1286). He has also been associated with Asia Allied Infrastructure Holdings Limited (HKEX: 711).

Yen is a prominent figure in Hong Kong's early-stage ecosystem, serving as Chairman of the Hong Kong Venture Investment and Business Angel Network (HKBAN), a non-profit founded in 2011 to develop the local angel-investor community and connect young tech ventures with investors, academia, and incubators. He is also active as a mentor with CityU's HK Tech 300 program and has spoken at events such as HKSTP's EPiC.

Academically, Yen graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering (1990), earned an MBA from McGill University in Canada (1992), and holds a Doctor of Business Administration from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2005).
