Greg Mccabe

Greg McCabe is a Midland, Texas-based investor and oil-and-gas operator. SEC filings identify him as President of McCabe Ventures, LLC, whose principal business is “investments in various energy, real estate and other businesses,” with a business address at 500 West Texas Ave., Suite 890, Midland, Texas 79701.

McCabe has been active in oil and gas since the 1980s. Next Bridge Hydrocarbons stated in June 2023 that he had almost 40 years of experience, formed McCabe Petroleum Corporation in October 1984, and still owns and manages it. The same announcement said he was active with geologist Rich Masterson in the early development of the Wolfbone play in the Delaware Basin and that their work helped shape their theories about the Orogrande Basin.

McCabe graduated from Sul Ross State University with a B.S. in Geology in 1984. In addition to McCabe Petroleum, Next Bridge disclosed active ownership in oil-and-gas entities including Manix Royalty, Texas Rock Oil, and TRO-X.

Wildcatters Network appears to be McCabe’s public investment-community platform. Its stated purpose is to connect like-minded investors, review and participate in investment opportunities, and give members a vehicle to submit investment ideas to a group of investors.
