Henri Tilloy

Henri Tilloy is a Partner at Singular, a Paris-based early-stage European venture firm founded in 2019, which he joined in May 2023. He focuses on backing entrepreneurs building products for developers, DevOps, security, and broader technical teams. Singular closed a second fund of roughly €400 million, investing at seed and Series A across Europe.

Before Singular, Henri spent about two and a half years at Datadog (Nov 2020 – May 2023) as Senior Manager, Corporate Development, where he worked on the company's M&A and acquisitions — a hands-on operating vantage point on how a category-defining developer/observability company scales and buys. Prior to that he was on the Venture Investment Team at Partech, which he joined in the Paris office in June 2016 as an associate/Senior Associate before relocating to Silicon Valley. At Partech he participated in seed and Series A/B rounds in enterprise/infrastructure products and served as a board observer for several startups. Henri began his career on the technical side: he was a data scientist/data engineer at AdotMob, a Paris adtech startup (from ~2015), and worked as an engineer/business analyst at Orange Silicon Valley in San Francisco. This engineering background underpins his reputation among founders for genuinely understanding technical products rather than treating them purely as financial opportunities.

Academically, he holds a double degree from HEC Paris and Télécom Paris (Telecom ParisTech), studied data science as a graduate student at UC Berkeley (School of Information), and completed preparatory classes (classes préparatoires) at Lycée Stanislas.
