Herbertu Rodrguez Regordosa

Herberto Rodríguez Regordosa is a Puebla-based entrepreneur, academic and investor. He trained as an Industrial Engineer and earned a Master's in Finance at Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP), followed by graduate and doctoral studies in Economics and Business at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and Universidad Jaume I de Valencia, including a visiting doctoral stint in IESE Barcelona's International Faculty Program and study at Universidad Pompeu Fabra. He is a founder and investor across a range of companies in construction materials, real estate, financial services and technology — reportedly having founded or participated in more than 15 companies over his career.

In February 2014 he became Partner & CFO of Cargo Movil S.A.P.I. de C.V., the legal entity behind Parkimóvil (rebranded as Kigo), a Mexican smart-mobility and parking-payments platform founded by Carlos Anaya Rodríguez. Public commercial-registry records list him among the company's shareholders alongside the Anaya Rodríguez family, and he is described as one of its early (seed) backers and board members. Kigo/Parkimóvil went on to raise capital from mobility-focused funds including Proeza Ventures, Liil Ventures, BlueBox Ventures, EIT/KIC Urban Mobility and Capital Invent (reported cumulative funding in the range of ~$16M).

On the academic side, Rodríguez Regordosa is President of IESDE School of Management in Puebla — where he teaches Strategy and Finance — and previously served as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Vice Rector for Research and Graduate Studies at UPAEP. He is a part-time research professor at the Centro de Investigación e Inteligencia Económica (CIIE) and is affiliated with Harvard Business School's Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness network.

He is also an active figure in Puebla's business community: Vice President of the Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE) de Puebla, President of Fundación Empresarios por Puebla, and a participant in COPARMEX and Jóvenes Empresarios. In December 2025–January 2026 he registered as one of the finalists in the contest to become President of the CCE Puebla for the 2026–2029 term.
