Ian Marsh

Ian Marsh is a Partner at DN Capital, a London-based venture capital firm (founded in 2000) that invests in early-stage technology companies across Europe and North America. He joined the firm in 2017 and concentrates on UK investments as well as e-commerce, fintech, and software opportunities.

Before moving into venture capital, Marsh held operating roles at the heart of Europe's startup-building scene. He served as UK CEO of the meal-kit company HelloFresh and led the UK operations of Rocket Internet, the Berlin-based venture builder that incubated and scaled a number of consumer internet businesses. This operating background gives him hands-on experience launching and running venture-backed companies rather than only financing them.

Earlier in his career, Marsh worked on the deal team at Bain Capital Europe (private equity) and in strategy consulting — at McKinsey & Company in Madrid and at Bain & Company in London. Academically, he holds a bachelor's degree in History and Economics from Balliol College, University of Oxford, and a master's in Management from HEC Paris.
