Ilan Lior

Ilan Lior is the General Counsel of Aurum Ventures M.K.I, the private investment and technology vehicle of Israeli businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist Morris Kahn (co-founder of Amdocs and Aurec Group). Based at Aurum's Ramat Gan headquarters, Lior leads the firm's legal function and is closely involved in structuring and overseeing its portfolio investments. Before joining Aurum, he was a partner at a boutique law firm, where he headed the corporate and commercial practice group.

Lior is a member of the Israeli Bar and holds an LL.B. (law) and a B.A. in economics, both from Tel Aviv University. His practice combines a corporate/commercial legal background with hands-on economics training, which fits Aurum's model of taking active, long-term board-level roles in the companies it backs.

In addition to his General Counsel role, Lior serves as a director on the boards of Aurum group and portfolio entities. Public records associate him with board or director positions at companies including Nucleix Ltd. (liquid-biopsy cancer diagnostics), Beta-O2 Technologies (bio-artificial pancreas for Type-1 diabetes), and Aurec Ltd., and he has been named in SEC filings tied to Aurum-backed issuers. He is a longstanding fixture of Morris Kahn's investment operation rather than an independent fund manager.
