Ivana Bozjak

Ivana Bozjak is a Partner and Head of Real Estate at Global Finance S.A., an Athens-based independent investment firm founded in 1991 that pioneered private equity and venture capital in South-Eastern Europe. She joined Global Finance in 2001 and, since 2004, has spearheaded the firm's real estate activities, concentrating on investment opportunities in South-Eastern Europe — mainly Bulgaria and Romania and her native Serbia. As a native Serbian speaker who is also conversant in Bulgarian, she is well positioned to source and execute deals across the Balkan markets the firm targets.

Before Global Finance, Bozjak built an international finance career. Prior to joining the firm she worked in Israel for a venture capital fund (reported as Concord Ventures), and earlier she worked for a multi-billion-dollar hedge fund in the United States (reported as Deephaven Capital Management). This mix of hedge-fund, venture, and private-equity experience underpins her skill set in valuation, private equity, due diligence, venture capital, and corporate finance.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Munich and a Master of Public and Private Management (MPPM) from the Yale School of Management.

Global Finance, where she sits on the partnership, manages private equity vehicles including the 2006-vintage South Eastern Europe Fund (approximately $471M), operates from offices in Athens, Sofia, Bucharest, and Belgrade, and reports roughly €850 million in assets under management. Over its history the firm has advised more than 80 investments across about 10 countries, with an aggregate acquisition value exceeding $820 million.
