Janne Larma

Janne Larma (born 14 May 1965, Finnish citizen) is one of Finland's most established corporate-finance figures. He earned an M.Sc. (Econ.) from Hanken — the Swedish School of Economics in Helsinki — graduating in 1989, after his matriculation examination at SYK in 1984. He began his career in 1988 at Kansallis-Osake-Pankki, holding several positions within its investment banking division through 1992, then moved to Alfred Berg Finland as a Director in Corporate Finance (1993–1998) and to Enskilda Securities as Director and Head of Corporate Finance Finland (1998–2000).

In August 2000 he founded Advium Partners Oy, the boutique that became Advium Corporate Finance, an investment bank advising on mergers and acquisitions, large real-estate transactions and equity capital-market deals for clients headquartered in — or transacting into — Finland. Advium became part of the eQ group, and Larma served as its Managing Director from 2009. He stepped back from the operative role at the end of 2024 (handing the Managing Director title to Jacob af Forselles in April 2024) and continues as Chairman of Advium's Board.

At the group level, Larma was CEO of NASDAQ Helsinki–listed eQ Plc from 2011 to 2021, a Finnish asset-management and corporate-finance group, and earlier held director roles at eQ Bank (2004–2009). After his CEO tenure he chaired eQ's board from 2021, returned as interim CEO from October 2024 to August 2025 when CEO Mikko Koskimies stepped down due to illness, and then resumed the Chair of the Board role in September 2025 once Jouko Pölönen was appointed CEO.

He holds numerous board and trust positions, including Chairman of Notalar Oy and Teknoscale Oy, and board memberships at Rettig Group Oy Ab, Inkoo Shipping Oy, Hanken School of Economics, and the Finnish Naval Reserve / Meripuolustussäätiö. He is a significant shareholder in eQ (via Chilla Capital Oy).
