Jason Huber

Jason Huber is a member of the staff at the Happy Valley LaunchBox, Penn State University's flagship innovation hub within the Invent Penn State initiative. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Lock Haven University. Before entering the startup-support world, he spent roughly twelve years co-founding and running a screen-printing and graphic-design company alongside his brother, an experience rooted in a family-business upbringing. He eventually sold that business and relocated to central Pennsylvania.

At the LaunchBox — founded in February 2016 as a signature program of Invent Penn State — Huber has been described variously as "Startup Consultant and Co-Working Manager," "Entrepreneurial Cog Coordinator," and (in a 2018 profile) "Facilities Coordinator." In practice his role centers on running the physical facility, organizing events and the expert-speaker series, welcoming visitors and giving tours, and building a network of mentors and resources that early-stage founders can tap. He works closely with the LaunchBox leadership team (historically alongside "Chief Amplifier" Lee Erickson, and more recently under director Elizabeth Hay) to help entrepreneurs "de-risk and accelerate their ventures."

The LaunchBox itself supports founders through free, lean-startup-based programming: the Idea TestLab, MVP DevLab, and FastTrack Accelerator, plus coworking space, legal/IP guidance, business coaching, and curated introductions. Services are open to the public regardless of Penn State affiliation. Huber's stated personal motivation is "to help others realize their personal and professional dreams."
