Jean Duke

Jean E. Duke is president of the University of South Carolina - Business Partnership Foundation, the nonprofit foundation affiliated with the Darla Moore School of Business. USC’s Darla Moore School directory lists her title as President in the Business Partnership Foundation, with office location in Room 326 of the Darla Moore School of Business.

Duke is a South Carolina native and a 1977 accounting graduate of the Darla Moore School of Business. USC reports that she also completed the Corporate Financial Management Executive Program at Harvard University and attended the UNUM/Wharton Disability Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.

She began her career at Ernst & Young after graduation, rising from an entry-level role to senior audit manager. In 1985 she joined Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company, where she later became president and chief financial officer. Since 2004, USC says she has worked in finance consulting roles with nonprofit, governmental and for-profit organizations in South Carolina.

Before joining the USC-Business Partnership Foundation staff as president in April 2018, Duke had served on its Board of Trustees since 2002, including as board chair and Budget Committee chair. USC describes the foundation’s role as soliciting private support for the Moore School and advising the school so that it remains attuned to business practice.
