Jennifer Gottschalk

Jennifer ("Jenny") Gottschalk is a Partner at EIV Capital, a Houston-based private equity firm that provides growth equity to the North American energy industry, and a member of the firm's Investment Committee. She joined EIV in 2009, the year the firm was founded. She brings more than 30 years of energy-sector experience, and her engineering and operational background is positioned as a complement to the financial expertise on the EIV team.

Before EIV, Jenny was an investor, owner, and executive in a number of entrepreneurial energy companies operating in the natural gas, crude oil, and refined-products segments of the industry — including running a portfolio investment in EIV's first fund. Earlier in her career she worked at Accenture, rising to Associate Partner, where she consulted for energy companies across the upstream, midstream, downstream, and petrochemical sectors both domestically and internationally.

She earned both a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in Plan II (the honors liberal-arts program) from the University of Texas at Austin. At EIV she evaluates opportunities, stewards the deals she leads, and assists across the portfolio with technical and operational expertise. She also provides IT and cybersecurity guidance to EIV's portfolio companies and oversees those functions for the firm itself. She serves on the board of directors of Amp Americas.

• Invests growth equity, not seed/angel capital — backing established, growth-stage energy-infrastructure companies rather than early-stage startups.
• Core focus is midstream energy infrastructure: gathering, processing, distribution, storage, and marketing of oil, natural gas, refined products, and renewable fuels, plus opportunistic bets across the energy value chain.
• Expanding into niche renewable / lower-carbon energy (e.g., renewable natural gas, reflected in her board seat at Amp Americas).
