Background

Jennifer Vancini is a Founding General Partner of Mighty Capital, a venture capital firm founded in 2018 by SC Moatti and Vancini. Mighty Capital describes itself as backing B2B technology companies from Seed to Series A, using its “Product Alpha Effect” and a network of more than 600,000 product leaders to identify companies before traditional revenue metrics fully validate them.

Before Mighty Capital, Vancini built Pointgrey Partners, a family investment office. Mighty Capital says she achieved a 15x cash-on-cash return there, and describes her as having been investing for 10 years.

Earlier in her career, Vancini held executive roles in corporate and strategic business development, particularly in high-growth security and mobile markets. Her operating background includes roles connected to Telefonica, Symbian/Nokia, and Certicom, which Mighty Capital says she helped take public in Canada.

Vancini completed her MBA at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She currently chairs the Dean’s Advisory Council at UBC and serves on private and nonprofit boards.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Mighty Capital invests in B2B technology companies from Seed to Series A, especially where product adoption signals appear before traditional market consensus.
  • The firm’s stated thesis is product-led: “Most investors wait for proof. We read the product.”
  • Mighty Capital focuses on what it calls the “Discovery stage,” after initial product validation but before full growth velocity.
  • The firm looks for founders solving “a big, hard problem” with a sustainably differentiated product, real traction, responsible monetization, and ambitious but credible financials.
  • Mighty Capital uses its Products That Count network of 600,000+ CPOs and product managers for sourcing, diligence, and post-investment customer access.
  • The firm says it looks at team quality, traction, product roadmap, defensibility, business model, go-to-market, terms, future financing path, exit alignment, and fit with Mighty’s network.
