Jerome Chernock

Jerome "Jerry" B. Chernock is a Partner and a member of the Investment Committee at DC Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Alexandria, Virginia that makes control-equity investments in middle-market companies serving the U.S. federal government and engineering/infrastructure markets. He brings more than 15 years of private equity and investment banking experience and, according to the firm, has completed over 50 transactions across the Aerospace & Defense, Defense Technology, Engineering & Construction Services, and Government Services sectors.

Before joining DC Capital Partners, Chernock was an investment banker at Jefferies & Company, where he advised clients on a range of M&A and financing transactions in the Aerospace, Defense and Government Services and Engineering & Construction Services sectors — the same end-markets he now invests in directly.

At DC Capital, Chernock has been involved in many of the firm's signature deals, including the take-private of the former NYSE-listed Michael Baker Corporation, and the formation, growth, and sale of SC3, LLC. He serves on the boards of directors of DC Capital portfolio companies; his board roles have included Caliburn Holdings (now Acuity International), Michael Baker International, Owl Cyber Defense Solutions, PBK Architects, Pond Holdings, and Revenue Solutions, Inc., among others.

He earned a B.S. from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a double major in Finance and Accounting.
