Jerry Marcus

Jerry Marcus is a veteran investment banker who currently serves as Vice Chairman of Global Banking at UBS, based in New York. He joined UBS in September 2014 as Vice Chairman of the Americas investment bank, recruited from Bank of America Merrill Lynch to strengthen the firm's coverage of retailers and consumer brands within corporate client solutions. His hire was part of a broader push by UBS's Americas leadership (under Steve Cummings) to deepen sector expertise and client relationships.

Marcus has built retail- and brand-focused investment banking practices across a series of major institutions over a career spanning more than 25 years — a path that runs through Morgan Stanley, Bear Stearns, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and now UBS. He began his career at Morgan Stanley (starting around 1979), where he spent roughly 13 years as an M&A banker, before spending about a decade at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he most recently headed the retail investment banking group and held a vice chairman title in the global investment bank.

He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a B.S. in Engineering (summa cum laude), and of The Wharton School, where he completed an MBA with Distinction. Beyond banking, he has served on the board of CRE, a nonprofit consulting firm focused on organizational sustainability and social impact.
