John Curzon

John E. Curzon is a Founding Partner of CCK Strategies, PLLC, which he co-founded in October 1997 with Terry Cumbey and Eric Kunkel. The three left established positions to build what they describe as a "non-traditional" CPA firm focused on strategic planning for entrepreneurs; today CCK employs over 100 people and operates from Tulsa, Oklahoma and Frisco, Texas. Curzon holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and business administration from the University of Kansas.

His professional practice centers on merger and acquisition consulting, business valuation, buy-side and sell-side due diligence, business transition and succession planning, strategic business-structure planning, and domestic and international income-tax consultation. He carries an unusually deep set of credentials for the field: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA).

Curzon is also active in public service and the profession. In July 2023 he was appointed by Governor J. Kevin Stitt to the Oklahoma Accountancy Board. He is a member and past Chair of the Oklahoma Governor's International Team (OKGIT), a member of IR Global's international network of professional-services firms, a past Chair of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs Professional Ethics Committee, and a board member of Junior Achievement of Oklahoma, among other civic and faith-based board roles.

Alongside his firm work, Curzon is regularly described as one of Tulsa's most experienced angel investors, having invested since the early 2000s. He pairs capital with active mentorship, running mentorship programs and workshops to guide founders — leaning on the same valuation, tax, and transaction expertise that anchors his day job.
