John Joyce

John R. Joyce is a technology executive, director, and angel investor best known for senior finance and operating roles at IBM, Silver Lake, Silver Spring Networks, and Kony. His current investment platform is NetX Fund, described publicly as a global startup investment fund; Andersen Group’s board biography lists him as Executive Chairman of NetX and a director of Futureverse, a NetX portfolio company.

Joyce spent roughly three decades at IBM, holding senior roles including Chief Financial Officer, President of IBM Asia Pacific, and head of IBM Global Services. CRN reported in July 2005 that he left IBM Global Services to become Managing Director at Silver Lake Partners, where he would serve on the investment committee and work on sourcing, new investments, portfolio oversight, and recruiting.

From 2005 to 2010, Joyce served as Managing Director at Silver Lake Partners, a major technology-focused private equity firm. Later, he was Chief Financial Officer and Vice Chairman at Silver Spring Networks from 2010 to 2014, and Chief Financial Officer and Vice Chairman at Kony from 2014 to 2018 before Kony’s acquisition by Temenos.

Joyce has held board roles at several public and private companies, including Gartner, Avago Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, Globality, Futureverse, IB Acquisition Corp., and Andersen Group Inc. Andersen’s board biography states that he holds a B.S. in Administrative Sciences from Montclair State University and an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
