Jon Quick

Jon Quick is a finance-and-operations leader in the UK venture capital and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) world. He is currently EIS Finance & Operations at Molten Ventures plc (formerly Draper Esprit), one of Europe's largest listed technology investors, where he sits on the EIS & VCT team alongside colleagues such as Lucy Collins (Head of EIS), William Horlick (Head of VCT) and Alex Holland (Partner Services Manager).

Before Molten Ventures, Quick was Director of Finance & Operations at Oxford Capital Partners (oxcp.com), an Oxford- and London-based venture firm founded in 1999 that runs the Oxford Capital Growth EIS and has invested over £500m into 100+ UK technology companies. His Oxford Capital tenure is the source of the [hidden] address. According to his LinkedIn and Crunchbase profiles, his earlier career included senior finance roles in the technology sector (including at ad-tech company ValueClick) and a start in professional audit; he holds a degree from the University of Birmingham.

In both roles his remit is financial control, fund administration and operations for early-stage, EIS-qualifying venture portfolios — i.e. the machinery behind the funds rather than deal origination. This makes him a key operational contact at the firm, but not the partner who sources or leads seed investments.

• Molten Ventures EIS/KI-EIS (current firm): co-invests alongside Molten Ventures plc and Molten Ventures VCT in early-stage, EIS-qualifying deals — targeting 6–12 companies per fund over 12–18 months across deep tech, fintech, AI, climate tech, healthcare, cybersecurity, space-tech and SaaS. Molten's scale (backing 79+ seed/early-stage funds, exposure to 2,300+ companies) drives its deal flow.
